Material & Craft
Kantha is a traditional embroidery art form from the eastern parts of India, especially the states of West Bengal, Tripura, and Odisha. Historically practiced by rural women, the term "Kantha" refers both to the distinctive running stitch technique and the final textile product. It is among the oldest known embroidery styles in India, with roots dating back to the pre-Vedic period (before 1500 BCE). These contemporary 3-piece Kantha suits bring a designer fusion of Kantha with Aari embroidery, Dabu block printing and the exquisite French knot. These globally renowned ethnic wear sets created with time, skill and patience are characterized by herringbone pattern on the super soft pristine white summer cotton fabric. The base white cotton fabric can be dyed in any colour without any change in the colour of the Embroidery or the Dabu block print. Wear with pride these suits with elegantly crafted and flowy comfortable dupattas symbolizing a unique blend of Indian tradition, artistry, and weaving.
